Work Begins on Land for New DR Prosthesis Clinic
Work began recently on clearing the land for the Centro de Protesis Clinic, which when completed will be the first of its kind in the Dominican Republic. Recently, a backhoe was used to clean the land, and Graviel Nuel, the Director of Centro de Protesis, met with the engineer and topographer to survey the land and prepare for the coming construction.
Located just outside of La Romana, this land was donated to Centro de Protesis by the Caleta District (La Romana) City Hall in June of 2018. Groundbreaking and construction are scheduled to begin in January of 2020, and you are invited to come down to the DR and be part of this initial construction. Join the Dominican Republic Mission Team in La Romana from January 4-11, 2020 and work on this project, and/or come down the week of January 18, 2020, to work with the Rotary Club of Portland, ME, on the initial construction.
Questions? Please email Graviel at any time.
